Grants for Great Minds is a $500 scholarship for higher education degrees or teacher certification. Funding is available three times each year, with opportunities offered during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.
We are proud to support teachers and staff pursuing higher education degrees that will enhance their skills to benefit all Midland students.
Requirements: Full-time MISD employees pursuing an advanced degree through an accredited educator preparation program, institution of higher education, or alternative certification program are eligible to apply. The grant is available for bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree programs, as well as teacher or principal certification programs.
Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 to be eligible for consideration.
Spring 2027 applications are now OPEN and will close November 1st.
