The Partners in Education (PIE) Grants program was created to provide MISD campus and district leaders with funding opportunities that go beyond traditional budgets, empowering them to strengthen workplace culture, enhance learning environments, invest in professional growth, and launch innovative initiatives that positively impact students and staff.
Grant Opportunities
The PIE Grant program features four funding levels designed to meet a variety of campus and district needs.
- Spark Grants
Funding Amount: Up to $500
Spark Grants provide quick funding for ideas that strengthen workplace culture, employee morale, staff recognition, campus engagement, and other initiatives that make an immediate impact.

- Impact Grants
Funding Amount: Up to $1,000
Impact Grants support innovative projects, pilot programs, professional learning opportunities, and resources that improve campus or departmental effectiveness while creating measurable outcomes.

- Transformation Grants
Funding Amount: Up to $5,000
Transformation Grants fund larger initiatives designed to improve multiple campuses, departments, or district systems through innovative, sustainable solutions that create lasting impact.

Funding Amount: $10,000+
Plus Grants represent the Midland Education Foundation's highest level of investment and support district-wide initiatives that align with strategic priorities and create transformational, long-term change.

A few things to know:
- Funding is limited and not all applications can be approved.
- Funding requests must support initiatives beyond traditional campus or departmental budgets.
- PIE Grant funds must be used by end of the school year they were applied for.
- Repeat requests may not be considered.
- Projects should demonstrate a clear benefit to MISD students, employees, campuses, or district operations.
Approved applications will receive access to grant funds in accordance with Foundation guidelines.
